Mrs. Khiev Sokha is the founder of SDI International Law Group, which was established and registered on June 14, 2023. After serving as the Director of the SDI International Law Group for a period of time, Mrs. Khiev Sokha transferred the role of Director to Mr. Chan Sophea, who will currently serve as the Director of the SDI International Law Group, as she will be returning to work at the Phnom Penh Appellate Court.

With over 17 years of experience in the field of law and jurisdiction as of 2023, Mrs. Khiev Sokha has held various prominent positions.

She has served as a judge at the Kampong Speu Provincial Court, a member of the National Committee for the Management of Intellectual Property Rights (NCIPR), Legal Adviser to the Supreme Court Chamber of the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia, Judge of the Supreme Court, and Vice President of the Phnom Penh Appellate Court. Furthermore, she has also completed an internship at ACT Magistrates Court in Canberra, Australia.

Mrs. Khiev Sokha obtained her professional degree as a judge from the Royal Academy of Judicial Professions in 2005. In 2003, she earned her Master of Laws from the Transnational Law and Business University (TLBU) in Seoul, Republic of Korea (South Korea). In 2001, she completed her Bachelor of Laws from the Royal University of Law and Economics.

In addition to her professional degree as a judge from the Royal Academy of Judicial Professions, Mrs. Khiev Sokha also holds qualifications in the field of Trust and qualifications to be an arbitrator from the National Center for Commercial Arbitration. Furthermore, she has received a certificate of completion for the training course on the Civil Code and the Code of Civil Procedure for future trainers from the Royal School of Judges at the Royal Academy of Judicial Professions.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Khiev Sokha has also delivered presentations on various legal topics. Some of the subjects she has covered include Civil Procedure, Marriage and Divorce Case Proceedings, Inheritance, Preservative Procedure, Appealing Procedure, Re-trial Procedure, Enforcement in Civil Procedure, Assignment of Contractual Position, Assignment of Claim, Subrogation, Contract Interpretation, the Effect of Judgment on the Parties, Real Rights, the Enforcement Procedure on Real Rights, Criminal Offenses, and Criminal Procedure.

Mrs. Khiev Sokha has actively participated in a range of seminars and training courses both domestically and internationally. These include:

  • Training Course on Alternative Dispute Resolution in Singapore: She attended the "Court Dispute Resolution: A One Stop Judicial Training on Alternative Dispute Resolution" at the Singapore Judicial College, organized by the Singapore Cooperation Program.

  • Workshop in Japan on Law and Justice Cooperation Project: Mrs. Khiev Sokha participated in a workshop focused on the Law and Justice Cooperation Project, held in Japan.

  • Training Courses on Civil and Commercial Law and Real Estate Registration: She took part in training courses specifically related to Civil and Commercial Law and Real Estate Registration.

  • Seminars in Thailand and Vietnam on Law Enforcement in Intellectual Property Rights: Mrs. Khiev Sokha attended seminars held in Thailand and Vietnam, focusing on the enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights.

She has also attended seminars and training courses domestically. These include seminars on the establishment and operation of efficient and effective commercial courts, workshops on international adoption, workshop on secured transactions, training courses on Bankruptcy Procedures and Commercial Criminal Offenses, Issues arising in the implementation of protection procedures and enforcement procedures.

Additionally, she has received training on the 10 main mistakes in the preparation of contracts and contract interpretation methods, Export Capacity Building of Local Enterprises, National Assessment of Trade Negotiation and Mediation Needs and Trade Priorities in Cambodia. She has also completed Assessment and Education Training at the Australian Center for Education, Computer Inquiry Training, Judicial Training Program at the Royal Academy of Judicial Professions, and Training on English Language Skills for Communication for Legal profession at the Cambodia-Singapore Education Center.
