Mr. Chay Chandaravan, the founder and trainer of the program “I Learn About The Law” in collaboration with SDI International Law Group.

Mr. Chay Chandaravan is currently a Member of the Supreme Council of the Magistracy. He possesses extensive experience and knowledge in the field of law and jurisdiction in Cambodia. He has served as a judge at the Phnom Penh Appellate Court and the Kampong Cham Provincial Court. During his tenure as a judge, he handled a wide range of civil, commercial, and criminal cases. He also worked as an Investigator at the Office of the Co-Investigating Judges of the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC).

Mr. Chay Chandaravan has worked as a Legal Researcher at the Legislative Department of the National Election Committee (NEC) and as a Legal Analyst at the National Assembly, funded by the World Bank. He is a trainer at the Royal Academy of Justice and the Lawyer Training Center of Cambodia. Additionally, he serves as a Professor of Law at various universities, teaching subjects related to commercial law, civil law, and criminal law. He is a member of the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia since 1999 (suspending the practice of lawyer profession temporarily).

Mr. Chay Chandaravan has also completed internships in the courts of Paris, France, and several states in the United States.

He is a Ph.D. Candidate in Law from Southwest University of Political Science and Law, located in Chongqing, China. He holds a professional degree of Judge from the Royal Academy of Judicial Professions, a Master of Laws from the National University of Singapore, a 3rd year Bachelor of Economic Science from the Royal University of Law and Economics, a 3rd year Bachelor from the Institute of Foreign Languages at the Royal University of Phnom Penh with a major in English. Additionally, he holds a diploma for Middle Civil Servant (Moyen Fonctionnaire) from the Royal School of Administration and an Associate Degree in Accounting from the National Institute of Commerce.

He has received a certificate of passing the final examination in the training course and qualification in the Field of Trust. He also holds a certificate of passing the final examination in the "examination to obtain the qualifications as an arbitrator, as stated in Article 12.1. (d) of the Internal Rules of the NCAC." He has also received a Certificate of Commercial Arbitration (Supreme Level) from the National Center for Commercial Arbitration, and a certificate of professional real estate agent from the University of Economics and Finance. Additionally, he holds a Certificate in Legal French from the Paris Chamber of Commerce in France.
